#2 Bayside signs to Windup Records

Front man Anthony Raneri said:

"[Wind-Up's employees] are genuine fans of our band and share the same vision that we have for the future of our sound and career, We are so glad to have found a home where they share our passion for creating music and not a product."

Wind-Up president Ed Vetri

"When Bayside became available, I immediately went out to see a live show and I was blown away by their creativity and energy, This is a band that has done the heavy lifting, put in the time and effort needed to build a strong core fan base, and has consistently delivered to that core base over the years. We share the same vision as Bayside, and within our business model, we will be able to provide the platforms necessary to allow the band to do what they do best, create great music and perform live!"

#1 Corey Haim Dead at age 38 of a drug overdose
Haim  (far right) died Wednesday March 10th of a drug overdose. Corey Feldman, (middle) long time friend and co-star issued a press release following the tradgedy. Press release under the picture.

"I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face," Feldman said. "I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans and, of course, my son, who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."
